The Corporate Volunteer Council (CVC) of Greater Tulsa believes volunteerism is essential to the
well-being of the community. We believe it is good business to evaluate volunteer needs in
the community and match corporate volunteer resources to meet those needs.

The Corporate Volunteer Council's mission is to promote and foster corporate volunteerism
primarily through the sharing of ideas and information on corporate volunteer programs and
issues of community concern, which may be addressed through volunteerism.
Purpose & History
The Corporate Volunteer Council is a professional organization composed of a group of
Tulsa-based companies that meets monthly to share ideas on how to promote employee
volunteerism in the corporate sector. CVC serves as a communications vehicle among member
companies and the non-profit sector using corporate volunteers.
Tulsa's Council was the 17th CVC to be organized in the United
States. It began in 1984 with the assistance of the Tulsa Volunteer Center
The CVC gives companies instant access to creative volunteer ideas being used by other
companies. It provides programs on community needs, as well as speakers from other CVC's
across the nation.
- Access to a growing resource library of videotapes, books and manuals
about volunteer programs.
- Monthly meetings, panel discussions and seminars to exchange
innovative ideas for corporate volunteerism.
- An opportunity for CVC members to act as consultants for one another,
helping start new programs or improving existing ones.
- Information about community needs available through presentations at
monthly meetings & The Volunteer Center.
How to Join
Membership to the CVC is open to Tulsa-area companies organized and operated for profit
and interested in learning more about suporting the community through employee
volunteerism. Membership costs $100 per year.
